52 next item please the next item is public hearings you have one public hearing this evening public hearing number one is an annexation of territory to the city of springfield annexing 0.22 acres of residential property located at 401 to jasper road that's map 180206.14 tax lot 7700 ordinance number two ordinance annexing certain territory four zero one two jasper road to the city of springfield and willamelain park and recreation district withdrawing that same territory from the willa kenzie rural fire protection district adopting a severability clause and providing an effective date this is a first reading and andy limberg is here for the staff
43 report evening miss mayor and counselors i'm just going to bring up my screen real quickly here and show the location of the property in question bear with me i'm going to start from the beginning uh so this is in south central springfield just off jasper road right at filbert filbert lane and the property requesting annexation is a single residential lot at the corner of filbert and jasper road the property abuts the existing city limits both along the southern boundary which is the north edge of jasper road and the eastern boundary which is the western edge of fulbert lane so it does have contiguity with the city limits the reason for this annexation request
30 is a failed septic system on the property and the line work is a little bit faint but there is an existing sewer lateral that runs from filbert lane into the northeast corner of this property the applicant had requested annexation a couple months ago and they paid the sewer assessment fees and system development charges necessary to make the connection the physical connection has already been installed and so the house can remain occupied while the annexation request goes through as an administrative action and which takes typically a couple months to get the um response from the department of revenue and and this other state
16 agencies once it's approved by the council so that in in essence is the request that's before you this evening it's for a single residential lot continuous for the city limits the purpose is to address a failed septic system on the property and sewer service has been restored the applicant has paid the necessary fees and obtained permits to make that connection um they're probably in the audience uh tonight listening to proceedings and so if you have any specific questions i'd be happy to answer them are there any questions before we uh hold the public hearing all right um then i am going to open the public hearing and if you're interested in speaking to this item please raise your hand
10 mayor i don't see any hands raised for this item as of yet all right then i'm going to go ahead and close the public hearing and it looks like this is a first reading no action so i think we're good next item please mayor the next item is business from the audience all right if you're interested in making comments please uh use the raise hand feature and then we'll bring you up all right i'm not seeing any hands neal mira i don't see any hands either
